The curling program has expanded over the last few years. The games were made 50% longer last year and the number of league games doubled this season. In addition, there was a lot of interest in the curling program at SC and many new faces to our team. Returning players gained experience as they helped new players improve. I was reminded of the old adage: a rising tide lifts all boats. It was as though the returning players were the rising tide lifting all the boats to a new level. I am very pleased with the progress that was made this season. To the graduating curlers, we encourage you to find a local club in your future and join a league. You have the skills to be an asset to any team. To the returning players, we are looking forward to working with you again next winter and hope to build on what you have learned this season.
